How to Prepare an Event Flyer

paper airplane

These event flyer templates have been prepared to make it easy for members and leaders to make flyers announcing county 4-H events. The requirements listed below must be on every flyer. Any other graphics and text can be changed.
They are all in text boxes and can be enlarged or reduced as it suits the design of your flyer. Feel free to delete any graphics you don’t want and add your own. If you need more graphics, call or email the office. I can look for more or you can come in & find some you like. We have a graphics program that has thousands of images. When the flyer is finished, email it or fax a copy to the office so I can send it out with the monthly club leader packets. If you are mailing it yourself to enrolled members and leaders and need mailing labels, call the office.

Every flyer is required to include:

ANR logo – must be at least ½ inch high

Statement that 4-H is a program of the University of California

Affirmative Action Statement

Wheel chair logo – if event is wheel chair accessible.

If you use the single clover logo, it must be the version with the copyright.

Text requirements:

  • Name of event
  • Day, date & time
  • Location with address
  • Description of event
  • Who may participate
  • Who is invited
  • Contact name, phone, email (if available).
  • Registration information, if applicable, with deadline
  • Costs/fees, if any, & availability of scholarships

Be creative & have fun with it!

Please see some examples below (Word documents) :

If you need help contact the County 4-H office.
