How to Plan the All-Star Ambassador Recognition Banquet

 

WHAT IS THE ALL-STAR AMBASSADOR RECOGNITION BANQUET:

WHAT TO DO: 

-Check with Youth Advisor to select date

-Reserve banquet room that is wheelchair accessible.*  When reserving facility, obtain a lease agreement (if not already in place) and submit it unsigned to the     4-H YDA for processing.

-Notify Council Vice President of date to place on calendar

-Plan menu

-Publicize date, time, and location in Timely Topics. Monthly deadline is the 15th.

-Mail applications for All-Star intendees to all eligible youth with the help of the   

 4-H office.  Applications must be approved in advance by 4-H YDA.

-Publicize specific time, location, and directions in the Timely Topics

-Confirm facility

-Send invitations to former All-Stars

-Recruit 3 judges for All-Star selection

-Make up program

-Confirm dinner details

-Re-confirm facility

-Set up 1 hour before participants arrive

-Make sure microphone works

-Welcome guests

-CLEAN UP afterwards

-Update the binder for the following year

-Send thank-you cards to judges

 

*Make sure banquet facility has a podium, microphone, and enough tables and chairs for guests to eat dinner and watch program
