Meeting called to order by president Murlin Lee
Summer Camp: 14-20 July new committee in charge is coming on strongly.
First Financial aid application has been received and the committee has met and the application has been approved.
Sectional Yahoo group: issue of non-members has been pruned.
Each club should do the same for their yahoo group - when the new year's membership is finalized, the Yahoo group membership should be aligned to the current membership.
"How groups are moderated" discussion.
Update to "Files" section of the SCC4H Yahoo group - add folders at that level to ensure that individual files have a place to go.
SLC happening at UC Davis this summer. Info available on CA4H.org. State Ambassadors are looking for presenters to provide training sessions. Apps are available. (Murlin is SA adviser this year).
State ambassador application deadline is coming up.
Anyone interested look up the app and send to UCCE office for review.
NC Sectional Presentation Day coming up: Apps due Feb 23 to Jenel.
Nc Sectional meeting in Sonoma county. 8:30 youth
Treasurer: current spreadsheet handed out. Peer review by Hans. Many thanks, Hans. Budget committee after April.
VP: calendar items. Presentation by Coyote Crest bringing poster for next council meeting. Need snack support for March meeting. Calendar addition: Talent showcase Mar 7 at coyote Grange at 7PM.
UCCE Program Rep: Apr 25 Arbor Day in Santa Clara - outreach opportunity to take a booth to show what 4-H does.
Training at the end of Jan had about 120 attendees.
Estela is gone till Mar 10. Deborah is filling in for her till then.
Summary of Jan brown bag staff conference call.
Policy changes - Petting zoo, bank account address change, etc.
SCC 4-H farm/ranch rules will be changing.
Record Book changes for this year: demonstrations will be back in. Jenel is going to the state-wide record book training.
Camp leadership team: adult leaders: Bob Clemmons and Mo working closley with the youth directors. There are about 10 adults involved as support in various roles. Asking reimbursment for dinners once a month for the meetings at a restaurant. Also, there is camp training at Yosemite for a weekend for $120 per person for 10 people.
The meal issue will be up to the camp committee to determine how to spend the budget.
Clover youth director still needed.
Youth Fair: Pay to attend? No. Yes parking fee.
Winter Livestock Forum: setup at 9, participants can arrive at 9:30.
Fairgrounds use and Fair: up before the county supervisors again. Maybe need to get to the the meeting to preserve the Fairgrounds.
C.A.L. Was attended by the Gadds. Issues arose that need to be resolved. Murlin will be taking those issues to the NC Sectional meeting.
Swine proficiency will be up on the website by the end of the month.
Horse proficiency is soon to be approved.
