Discussion as to who was doing Presentation Day and when it was.
Early Feb - training on Large Animals projects for Members.
Hans - Fair issues: trying to get control of Fair book. Hans is rewriting the Large Animal section of the fair book. Anyone with desired changes to the fairbook should contact their animal species coordinator with their suggestions.
David Duarte suffered a minor stroke this past Saturday.
Rolling Hills and Homesteaders farm issues have prompted Hans to start writing club farm guidelines. Large Animal Chairs have been requested to work on these items. SCC4hfarmsites @ yahoo groups will be the focus of the guidelines. Hans will work on these guidelines over the next few months. Trying to use the group site as a facilited meeting in non-real time.
John H. Has asked his small animal chairs to look at the fair book for any desired changes. He introduced new dog chair and pygmy goat chair.
26 of april for the Small/large animal field day.
Too late for decision making on how to pick an animal, but that would be something covered in the earlier Large animal training day. Discussion about more advertising, how to do the "outreach" at the field day, what to do with public, etc.
Concensus seems to be internal looking (geared to be educaitonal to 4-H members) such as showman ship and judging, but also having demonstrations.

Fair and County supervisors issues: January / Feb reports will be back from the consultants who will report on options on what to do with the Fairgrounds.
Camp Staff apps are due 2008-01-15. Apps will be out on the web site soon. Possible to have two or more weeks of County Camp.
Harvest Vestival - many came. All 30 tables were in use. Animals, Posters, other stills. More public showed up compared to last year, about the same 4-H participation. Hans did the outreach in stead of the program rep. He talked to about 400 families who were interested in 4-H. Large area covered in the county.
Stanley - trophy competition - each club who participates in county events would be competeing for the trophy which would be awarded to the club with most participation. Contrary views were voiced about how the club participants.
Motion to have the traveling trophy and club participant reward to the club who participates most in county events.
Seconded and passed on voice vote.
Stanley will work with All-Stars to choose the trophy and come back with the proposed cost.
Alex Clemmons has a request for funds for the clubs in the county who have dog projects.
Equipment costs proposed total to about $500. The equipment would be available for borrowing when there are county activities. The dog chairperson would be responsible for tracking who has the stuff. There were discussions about alternate sources of money,
Motion presented: if the dog projects cannot get the required monies from other sources, then we would approve up to $250 to cover the expenses.
Seconded and passed on voice vote.
Jim Fritz - archery project is now up to 50 kids county wide. Jim is level 2 Olympic coach. County wide project needs targets for the kids.
Motion to ask Jim to request funds from the CE office sources, but if not granted, then Exec board votes to support up to $650 for targets.
Record book training at the state level. Feb 23 in Davis.
