Kids of the club wanted it to continue, adults were ready to fold the club.
No parental support. Another visit is planned on 6:30 pm 24 September. Want to have a Project Tour at their next meeting October 15th.

Handouts were sent around: state newsletter; National Conference; Comp Corps; State Field Day at UC Davis; Shooting sports certification for Archery instruction.
4-H brand network: lots of good colatteral for the program.

Large Animal:
Three people have agreed to share leadership of the County Goat
Committee; they are:
Mallory Curtis
Rhonda Kost
Sarah Pence
The large animal Goat Committee has oversight of all Dairy and Meat Goat
Projects in the County. The committee is also responsible for running
the Fair shows for those two species.
Note that Pygmy Goats are actually small animals and have a separate
committee.
The Fair Awards Committee has published the list of all Fair Awards in
the September Timely Topics.
There is also an article in Timely Topics on the winners of the
Cattlewomen's Association Carcass Contest winners. There were 7 steers
that met the quality and market criteria; 6 of them, including the first
three places, were 4-H'ers.

Feb 23, 2008 is Record Book Training at UC Davis. 10 spots per county.
Fe Moncloa is involved in research project to show how young people are successful at going out into the community and how to facilitate change with respect to a target effort of their choosing. a weekend training at Walden West will be given to

John submitted a request to Prucsh Park to have a Clover Foundation to have a table there at the Harvest Festival
If we rent tables from Prusch Park, it could cost about $400.
MSC to spend up to $600 for renting tables and chairs fro Prusch Park

Clubs need to get ready to participate in the event.

listserv for people not in 4-H: how to start it up.
counnty-wide Goat project: for people who are interested in Goats, but don't have a goat.
September 19th, at Sarah Pence's house. First meeting.
County-wide projects: getting information out to the county via the scc4h.org website, contact Gary Lang to get that set up.
NC Sectional Meeting here in Berger Dr. auditorium. 8:30 am for youth council meeting, 9:30 am for full council meeting.
We need to get complete roster of reps to NC Sectional meetings.

Joey Gadd was asking about the Welcome signage: Can 4-H get their part of any existing signs welcoming people to the various jurisdictions in the county?
Fair book needs to be done November 31, which Hans is working on now.
Stills needs to get straightened out as it exists in the book.
